Conference Scholarship Information

Washington Association Family and Consumer Science Educators

Conference Scholarships

The mission of the Family and Consumer Sciences Educators section of WA-ACTE is to provide leadership and services to the members through advocacy, education, networking, and recognition. Members are valued as professionals facing the challenges of empowering individuals and families in a diverse global society.

Scholarships for the cost of registration will be offered each year for both the WA-ACTE Summer Conference and for the Washington FCS Annual Conference in October. For each conference, one scholarship will be available to a member at-large, and one to a current WA-FACSE Executive Board member. The purpose is to enable attendance at a conference when the costs of attending are otherwise an obstacle. If funds are not used for summer ACTE conference, then it will roll over to be used at Annual Conference. Funds will be reimbursed by check from the association treasurer, to an individual or their school district, upon receipt of appropriate documentation. The scholarship will cover the full expense of conference registration.
