The Washington Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Educators (WA-FACSE) Executive Committee and Board would like thank Leslie Nuttman for not only her work as the Executive Director but for all of her help to Family and Consumer Sciences Education over the past 30+ years. Leslie’s commitment to the WA-FACSE board as Executive Director was complete June 30th, 2016.
Thank you Leslie for all of your help and professionalism in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in the State of Washington.
With the Executive Director’s position open, we held interviews and are pleased to welcome Kathi Hendrix aboard as the Executive Director for WA-FACSE. Kathi is very familiar with Family and Consumer Sciences having taught for 37 years in the classroom, most recently in the Selah School District and advised Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for 30+ years. Besides being in the classroom and leading FCCLA, Kathi has served on several State and National boards that will no doubt be useful to her and our board in the future.
It was a hard decision that the Executive Committee had to make and we would like to thank those that applied. We look forward to working with Kathi as she is a wealth of knowledge and a valuable resources to FACSE!
