Ask Your Members of Congress to Sign Perkins Funding Letters

This week, Members of Congress who support CTE will have the opportunity to sign letters urging an increase in Perkins funding for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017. These efforts are being led in the Senate by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and in the House of Representative by Reps. Glenn Thompson (R-PA) and Jim Langevin (D-RI). Please take a few minutes to help them urge their colleagues to join in supporting federal funding for CTE in the FY 2017 appropriations bills.

We need as many members of the House and Senate as possible to sign these letters to ensure that the appropriations committees recognize the importance of increasing funding for CTE. Let your Members of Congress know that building our investment in CTE is a top priority!

Take Action

·        Use the CTE Action Center to email your Senators and Representative, or connect by phone through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121.

·        Ask your Members of Congress to support funding for CTE by signing the FY 2017 Perkins appropriations request letter.

Your ACTE membership and dues directly impact our ability to serve as your advocate for CTE programs on Capitol Hill, and our efforts would not be possible without your support.
