(1979-present)



  Family and Consumer Science instructor (28
years)

Taught wide variety of required and
elective FACS courses as single teacher department and with a team of two to
three other teachers



·        
Developed new courses and curriculum,
gaining OSPI approval for each course offered



·        
Overseeing changes in curriculum for a new
high school schedule for department, in 1991 and currently



·        
Developed successful student mock interview
program involving 40 + local business and community members twice each year.



·        
Advised successful FCCLA chapter each year,
including advising 6 state officers and serving twice as Advisor to Advisor



·        
Served as department head, advisory grade
level leader, School Leadership Team member, building representative,
negotiator and coach for varying numbers of years

Management of department budget and
facilities

Coordinated senior project/presentation
committee for program development for five years, successfully launching
current program for all senior students to meet Washington graduation
requirements

Represents WA high school teachers on
legislatively mandated financial literacy public-private partnership committee (currently
